Each week, we share – through pictures – what the folks behind Durham Mag have been doing around town. We’re always out and about, just because we love this place; we hope you’ll comment with what you’ve been doing, too!
Brightleaf Square
It’s feeling festive in Brightleaf Square!
Triangle Seafood Market
Durham Mag Editor Chelsea Kellner, VP of Content Andrea Griffith Cash and Account Executive Ellen Farber enjoyed lobster bisque, crab cakes, a pasta trio and a halibut entrée at Triangle Seafood, which just opened in Brightleaf. They may never need to eat again. Look for the restaurant to open an adjoining seafood market before Christmas — a good source for oysters, shrimp, etc., needed for those holiday parties.
Dame’s Chicken and Waffles
Andrea’s chicken at Dame’s resembled a heart … Which is apropos because who doesn’t love this place?
Nanataco
Creative Director Kevin Brown chose to go with fish, chicken and pork belly on his Nanataco tacos, plus rice and beans on the side. What kind of tacos do you prefer at this Rockwood staple?
Catching a Sunrise
Andrea captured the beautiful sunrise as she began her Thanksgiving day travels.
American Tobacco Campus
A view that never gets old. Our editorial intern Schyler Martin paused to snap this pic at ATC before attending the Jason Isbell concert at DPAC (below).
Vintage Home South
These zip-code themed pillows from Vintage Home South would make great gifts, no matter where you live in the Triangle — they’re customizable!
Rise Biscuits and Donuts
Kevin can’t resist the call of Rise doughnuts on a Sunday morning. But really, who can?
Growler Grlz
Who needs to book a holiday flight when you can stay put and enjoy a holiday flight at Growler Grlz?
Monuts Donuts
Senior Associate Editor Amanda MacLaren‘s new favorite combo at Monuts: a cup of soup (the creamy tomato is delicious!) and avocado toast.
