Autumn is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix, about 7 or 8 months old. She’s a friendly, gentle young dog who’s a little shy and sensitive, so she’ll need kind handling and positive, reward-based training to help her build her confidence. She’s excellent with other dogs and loves the dog play group. “Autumn is the play group’s ‘little miss perfect,'” says Jane Marshall, the dog trainer who runs the group. “She has such great dog skills! She loves to play chase, wrestle, and, in the middle of all the fun, she takes time out to come and say hello to us humans! She has been the best friend for many dogs who have been adopted, having taught so many of them how to play and have fun. She helped the shy puppies gain confidence and she showed the older, worried dogs how to have a good time. That’s a big job for such a young dog.” Autumn will be a sweet addition to a kind, loving family.
Autumn lives in kennel 6. For more information about Autumn, contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org. To view her webpage, visit apsofdurham.org/autumn.
