Chris Bickford Photography Exhibit – Thursday-Friday, 10:30am-5:30pm; Saturday, 10:30am-4pm – The artist presents his new exhibit, “Legends of the Sandbar,” during an opening reception at Through This Lens.
The Old Well All Stars – Thursday, 7-9pm – These veterans of North Carolina’s music scene play a set at The Blue Note Grill, featuring a mix of blues, rock, country and jazz.
Big Time Wrestling – Friday, 6-8pm, match starts at 8pm – WWE Hall of Famers Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and others stop by Durham Armory for autograph signings and wrestling matches.
Integrity – Friday, 7:15pm – This hardcore punk band rocks out at Motorco Music Hall, with openers Fuming Mouth, Raw Hex, Joy and Blood Ritual.
Little Waves Coffee Cupping – Saturday, 11am-12:30pm – Join Little Waves Coffee Roasters at Cocoa Cinnamon at Chapel Hill Road for its first catalog cupping of the year, where guests can smell and sip coffees from Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Colombia, Brazil, Ethiopia and Kenya. Guests must reserve online – spots are limited.
Pit Bull Adoption Event – Saturday, 1-3pm – Enjoy some cider while meeting “adopt-a-bulls” at Bull City Ciderworks.
‘Nuevo espiritu de Durham’ Closing Reception – Saturday, 5-7pm – The Museum of Durham History’s first fully bilingual exhibit closes on Saturday. At this reception, lead curator Rodrigo Dorfman presents a guided gallery talk about developing the exhibit, followed by a Q&A session.
The Embers featuring Craig Wollard – Saturday, 8pm – The beach music band performs at Rhythms Live Music Hall.
Funny Girl: A Night of Funny Femmes! – Saturday, 7pm – Motorco hosts an evening of drag and comedy, with performances by Hilliary Begley, hosted by Vivica C. Coxx and Lauren Faber with Stormie Daie. Proceeds benefit SHIFT NC (Sexual Health Initiatives for Teens) and the LGBTQ Center of Durham.
The Skipping Stones WinterTour – Saturday, 9-11:30pm – This Connecticut-based blues duo performs early American music as it kicks off its three-week tour at Arcana.
Dog Adoption Event – Sunday, noon-2pm – Prospective pet parents can practice yoga, drink beer and meet dogs and puppies at this event presented by Independent Animal Rescue and Midtown Yoga at Hi-Wire Brewing Co.
Snow Drift – Sunday, 2:30pm – Wine & Design teaches this special painting class at their Hope Valley Road location. Drinks are BYOB (beer and wine only), and guests can also bring snacks.
King’s Day Festival – Sunday, 4-7pm – This family-friendly Hispanic festival offers games, gifts and food, including the traditional King’s Cake, at Asbury United Methodist Church, hosted by La Semilla.
‘Schnee’ – Sunday, 7:30pm – The Fruit hosts earspace, a contemporary performance ensemble, for a concert debuting the works of Pierce Gradone (“Dream Logic”) and Hans Abrahamsen (“Schnee”).
