adoptable pet of the week sweet tea

Sweet Tea is the sweetest you’ll ever meet! She’s very friendly, affectionate and simply darling. She can be sensitive and concerned in new situations, but likes gentle affection and play with a ball. Sweet Tea has been at the Animal Protection Society of Durham since October and has spent the last month with NC State participating in a study on dog walking. This girl has become a leash expert and is ready to find her forever home! She’ll need positive experiences, confidence building, lots of walks and, of course, a cozy retreat. Visit Sweet Tea’s webpage to learn more and come visit her at APS today!

All dog fees have been reduced to $50 until Dec. 17, as part of Bissell Pet Foundation’s Holiday Hope Event!

The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. APS of Durham is open to the public for adoptions and animal visitations. To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to adopt@apsofdurham.org. Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter. For more information, email adopt@apsofdurham.org.
