Hazel was originally found as a stray in November of last year. She is sweet and sensitive, but energetic and happy. She gets along well with other dogs, but does prefer laying in the sunshine over rough play. Hazel’s favorite activities are chasing a ball and receiving gentle affection and treats. She’s sure to win you over with her loving energy and tendency to be a velcro dog. Her sensitive nature can make her feel the need to guard treats and food, so staff at the Animal Protection Society of Durham recommend she doesn’t go into a home with small children. Visit Hazel’s webpage to learn more and come meet her today – she’d love to show you some love!
APS is currently partnering with Bissell Pet Foundation to “Empty the Shelters!” May 1-15, so all dog adoption fees are only $50!

APS of Durham is open to the public for adoptions and animal visitations. To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to adopt@apsofdurham.org.
