Looking for a passenger princess? Giselle is your girl. She is a strong, independent woman with a desire for long walks around the Eno River and keeping watch for squirrels. Giselle is a great listener and excellent loose leash walker, and can be easily redirected. She’s not too keen on snuggling up, but she won’t turn her nose up to any belly rubs or peanut butter for that matter. Giselle has been at the Animal Protection Society of Durham since Sept. 23 and, at 2 years old, she’s ready to find her forever home. Visit Giselle’s webpage to learn more, and visit this sweet girl today – lots of cuteness and personal space promised!
The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. APS of Durham is open to the public for adoptions and animal visitations. To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to adopt@apsofdurham.org. Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter. For more information, email adopt@apsofdurham.org.
