Peppy is a friendly, playful and curious girl who loves to chase a tennis ball! She’s super friendly and warms up quickly. She really enjoys a good game, plenty of scratches, and lots and lots of exploring. She’d love a home where she can play and go for long walks or hikes. She’s pretty active and high energy. Come play with her today!

Peppy’s adoption fee has been waived so that she can find a wonderful home soon. To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to adopt@apsofdurham.org. To view Peppy’s webpage, visit apsofdurham.org/dogs/peppy . Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter.

Adoption fees for dogs and puppies typically range from $100-$175. This includes a basic medical exam, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, intestinal parasite check, a heartworm test and deworming.

In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open Mon.-Tue. and Thu.-Fri., 10:30am-5pm; Wed. 10:30am-6pm; and Sat. 10am-2pm. For more information, call 919-560-0640 or visit www.apsofdurham.org.
