Bull Moon Rising

An estimated 1,200 cyclists, runners and walkers participated in the ninth annual Bull Moon Ride and Run, a 12-mile bike ride and 5K that raises funds for Habitat of Humanity of Durham’s affordable housing programs. Participants came dressed in neon colors with glow sticks and LED lights to illuminate their trek, which began and ended at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The numbers are still being crunched, but Habitat staffers predict the event raised almost $70,000 for the organization, which builds, repairs and sells quality, affordable and sustainable homes in partnership with people in need.
