Parker & Otis Paper – Friday-Saturday, 10am-3pm – This restaurant and gift shop will be selling some of its signature stationary goods at the PopUp @ American Tobacco Campus (runs through Aug. 28).
Liquor House Comedy Festival – Friday-Saturday, 8pm – Durty Bull Brewing Company hosts some of the best standup comedians from across the country.
Meet the Artist – Saturday, 9am-1pm – Head to Cecy’s Gallery and Studios for their Meet the Artist series, featuring blown glass bowls and platters by Gabe Goldhagen.
Mead Day – Saturday, noon-8pm – Honeygirl Meadery hosts a taste test day, featuring their newly released blueberry mead, and other fruity flavors like lavender lemonade and ginger peach to take home.
Rock the Park: Jazziando – Saturday, 6-8pm – Durham Parks and Recreation hosts this free family-friendly event, featuring Jazziando, a band that fuses musical inspiration from Latin and Jazz.
Bull Moon Ride and Run – Saturday, 7:30pm – Run a 5K or bike ride 6.5-12 miles during twilight hours. Starting at Durham Athletic Park at sunset, this race supports building expenses for new homes by Habitat for Humanity of Durham. Stick around after the race for their Fabulous Block Party!
Durham Cider Crawl – Sunday, noon-10pm – Several dozen downtown bars, restaurants and bottle shops, including Botanist & Barrel and Fullsteam Brewery participate in this second annual event. This self guided tour allows everyone to pick and choose from an array of places that strike their fancy.
Kitten Shower – Sunday, 1-3pm – Stop by Animal Protection Society of Durham to learn about fostering kittens, donate to their supply wish list, or maybe even adopt a new best friend.
The Beat Market – Sunday, 1-5pm – Check out this event featuring live music and local fare hosted by Durham Beats at Locopops.
Summer Movie Series – Sunday, 8-10:30pm – Ponysaurus Brewing Co. continues their free film series on the patio this week with a movie all about “cartoons playing basketball.”
