Each week, we share – through pictures – what the folks behind Durham Mag have been doing around town. We’re always out and about, just because we love this place; we hope you’ll comment with what you’ve been doing, too!

Mount Fuji

Mt. FujiWhen it’s buy one, get one free sushi — which it is every day at Mount Fuji Asian Bistro in Brightleaf Square! — you can’t help but to order a little bit of everything.

Baby James

Baby James1Briana Brough, our photog, brought her newest assistant — 2-month-old baby James — to a lunch meeting last week. He pretty much just listened to everyone else’s ideas.

Patchwork Market

Patchwork MarketEvery month, local makers and vintage vendors set up shop inside Fullsteam Brewery for the Durham Patchwork Mini-Market. Amanda marks her calendar for the first Saturday of every month for the market — it’s a great opportunity to buy birthday and holiday gifts!

Fullsteam Beer

Fullsteam1Speaking of Fullsteam … even while she was off on a weekend trip to Charleston, Jessica couldn’t escape Durham. She spotted two Fullsteam beers on the menu at Husk.

Parts & Labor

Parts & LaborYou work up quite an appetite while shopping! Luckily, Parts & Labor is right across the street from the market, so Amanda could refresh with a breakfast taco and chorizo hash off the brunch menu plus a pint of Bitter Unicorn Tears from Deep River Brewing Company out of Clayton, N.C.

The Scrap Exchange

The Scrap ExchangeNothing quite like the Durham Art Walk to get you out exploring local galleries! Amanda stopped by The Scrap Exchange‘s new home in the Lakewood Shopping Center to visit the Cameron Gallery, but couldn’t stop herself from picking up a few items for craft projects on her way out!

Dress for Success Triangle

Dress For Success 1Andrea became a Dress for Success of the Triangle volunteer on Saturday. On display during her training: the before and after photos from our Dress for Success makeover. See the entire makeover in our May issue!
