farmers marketEven in the scorching August heat, the Durham Farmers’ Market is always the best way to start a Saturday! On last week’s visit, we picked up a bouquet of local flowers, some Honeygirl Mead and Pie Pushers’ biscuits and gravy!

ninth streetFolks, you’ve got to try these new tonics from Ninth Street Bakery. Made with ginger and turmeric from Lil Farm, the fizzy drinks add a refreshing and healthy jolt to your day!

bluWe can’t get over these fish tacos at blu seafood — lightly fried, with spicy salsa, avocado and slaw, it makes for an ideal light summer lunch!

Museum of Life ScienceThe Bulltown Strutters were a huge hit at Museum of Life and Science‘s Science at Sunset Birthday Celebration this past weekend. What a treat it was to visit the museum after hours!

Heavenly Buffaloes kevCreative Director Kevin Brown raves Heavenly Buffaloes‘ honey barbecue and garlic Parmesan wings and waffle fries as “just heavenly.”

International DelightsFor Executive Editor Amanda MacLaren, one of her most-loved meals is International Delights’ hummus pita wrap and a side of fries — which are perfectly seasoned, and best when dipped in  tzatziki sauce (do not ask for ketchup here!).
