A trip to Rose’s Meat Market & Sweet Shop always yields a yummy bounty. Senior VP of Publishing Rory Gillis somehow resisted these sweet morsels (though couldn’t leave without capturing their beauty!) and picked up Two Chicks Kimchi, amazing brats for the grill and locally sourced pork chops.
We ventured outside of Durham proper this week with a trip to Morrisville for Masala Wrap.

We had a blast at this year’s Txakolifest, held for the first time at The Rickhouse. There was a plethora samples of the Spanish wine alongside tasty bites from Pizzeria Toro (pictured), Oval Park Grille, blu seafood, Gocciolina, Juju, Loaf, Durham Toffee, Mad Popper, Bona Fide Sandwich Co., Orrman’s Cheese Shop, plus cocktails from Alley Twenty Six!
We stopped by the Emily K Center this week and spotted this fun timeline, highlighting accomplishments from the last 10 years of the center, which has helped mentor and prepare hundreds of kids for college. Here’s to many more years!
