Yvette West talks about Bulldega, her new bodega and market, which features a living herb wall and a wine section and is a true family affair. As someone who lives above the store – literally – Yvette explains why the time was right for Durham’s downtown residents to be able to walk somewhere for spaghetti sauce, cleaning supplies, to-go meals, flowers, local meat, ice cream and more. Andrea also explains why summer is a great excuse to head to Fearrington Village for wood-fired pizzas at the Roost Beer Garden. The pies there are topped with ingredients like duck confit, crispy pancetta, crispy capers, truffle sour cream and caramelized onions.
