Celebrating 29 Years with Durham Community Land Trustees

In celebration of their 29th anniversary, the Durham Community Land Trustees (DCLT) – a nonprofit organization focused on providing affordable housing for low- and moderate-income people in Durham – held a reception featuring wine and hors d’oeuvres before Leyla McCalla Trio’s Music in the Gardens performance at Sarah P. Duke Gardens. Music at the reception was provided by the band Generations featuring bassist Freeman Ledbetter. The reception was followed by a quick program with DCLT homeowners and neighbors including Dave McKenna, who announced that in lieu of a traditional registry for his upcoming wedding, he and his fiancée will accept donations for DCLT. The annual fundraiser was a success, as DCLT met their fundraising goal of $20,000, plus a bit more.
