Eight bands took the stage at the American Tobacco Campus Amphitheater as part of advertising agency McKinney’s ninth annual Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands. Comprised of musicians from various organizations like Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Durham Academy, SunTrust and Duke University, each band competed for the chance to be crowned champion, but it was MetaMetrics’ The Psycho Metrics who took home the top prize, which was created by 12-year-old McKinney intern Glenn Green. All proceeds raised from the event benefited Book Harvest, a nonprofit dedicated to providing books to low-income children in the Triangle.
