Durham Magazine and Chapel Hill Magazine are looking for an art director to be based out of our Chapel Hill offices.
This key member of our team will design editorial pages and ads, work closely with clients on their marketing campaigns, create weekly enewsletters and email blasts, tackle web design, and generate in-house marketing collateral, from business cards to large-scale signage.
The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, energetic, collaborative and detail-oriented with a passion for the communities we represent.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree. At least three years of design experience. Previous magazine experience preferred.
A vast familiarity with Mac computers and Creative Suite 6 (InDesign, InCopy, PhotoShop, Illustrator).
Experience working in a CMS.
Experiece working on a digital platform.
Video-editing skills.
Strong customer service skills – you will be on the phone with our advertisers every day!
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
An obsessive attention to detail and commitment to high quality and accuracy.
A familiarity with our products.
