Foxtrot came to the Animal Protection Society of Durham as a 4-month-old puppy and has spent her summer growing up at the shelter. Staff and volunteers love her and know she’s more than ready for her fur-ever family to come find her! Foxtrot can be jumpy, but she’s also active, curious, affectionate and smart. She likes gentle petting, treats, learning new things and play. She’ll need basic training, four on the floor, calming exercises, enrichment and plenty of exercise. Visit Foxtrot’s webpage to learn more and come visit this sweet girl today!

The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. APS of Durham is open to the public for adoptions and animal visitations. To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to adopt@apsofdurham.org. Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter. For more information, email adopt@apsofdurham.org.
