Looking for something sweet? Puptart is your guy. He’s affectionate and endearing, and can’t wait to be your fun-size lovebug. Puptart loves to lean in for pets and affection, and would greatly benefit from a peaceful and quiet home. He can be quite anxious at times but is a pretty calm pup overall. Puptart does best near his people and would love to call you his Valentine. He seeks attention from those nearby, especially if you have hot dogs. Puptart is around 1.5 years old and weighs about 42 pounds. He is the type of guy to keep you on your toes, but one thing is for sure, you can always count on Puptart for love.

To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to adopt@apsofdurham.org. To view Puptart’s webpage, visit apsofdurham.org/dogs/puptart. Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter.

Adoption fees for dogs and puppies are currently only $50 during APS of Durham’s Meet Your Match special.

Adoption fees include a basic medical exam and behavioral assessment, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, intestinal parasite check (with treatment, control and prevention), a heart worm test and deworming.

The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open by appointment only due to COVID-19. For more information, email adopt@apsofdurham.org.
