Are you ready to go, go, go? Then Murray might be the guy for you! He’s a very active and playful dude with plenty of energy to spare – he loves to chase balls, eat treats and just be silly. He’d do great in a forever home with someone who can give him plenty of playtime, lots of exercise and basic training.
For the month of June and July, APS is offering a pick-your-price promotion, where you decide what you’d like to pay for your cat, kitten or large dog. To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to [email protected]. To view Murray’s webpage, visit apsofdurham.org/dogs/murray. Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter!
Adoption fees for dogs and puppies typically range from $125-$175. This includes a basic medical exam, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, intestinal parasite check, a heartworm test and deworming.
The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open Mon.-Tue. and Thu.-Fri., 10:30am-5pm; Wed. 10:30am-6pm; and Sat. 10am-2pm. For more information, call 919-560-0640 or visit www.apsofdurham.org.
