Monterrey is a brown and white tabby cat that will mesmerize you with her sweet, soulful eyes. She’s 9 months old and will be your best friend if you scratch her belly and play with her. You’ll be blown away by her charm – so meet this girl at APS of Durham today!

To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to adopt@apsofdurham.org. To view Monterrey’s webpage, visit apsofdurham.org/cats/511916/. Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter.

APS is currently running a Pick Your Price adoption special through June 24. Adopters can pick the adoption fee for any cat or dog! The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $95. This includes a basic medical exam and behavioral assessment, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, intestinal parasite check (with treatment, control and prevention), a heart worm test and deworming.

The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open by appointment only due to COVID-19. For more information, email adopt@apsofdurham.org.
