Adoptable Pet of the Week Lucille

Lucille is the adoptable pet of the week! This big, lovable girl knows how to make herself at home and is easy to lean into humans, searching for any type of affection and treats she can get. Lucille has been spoiled by volunteers at the Animal Protection Society of Durham, going on quite a few doggy day outs, allowing her to get more comfortable with the outside world. She is playful, goofy and loves to hang her big head out of the car window. Lucille would make the perfect training student and is seeking opportunities to learn new things and build her confidence. She has great skills when it comes to leash walking and is always down for a midnight snack. This sweet girl has been at the shelter since May 24 and is ready to win you over. Come meet her today!

Lucille’s adoption fee has been waived by a volunteer who loves her! Visit her webpage to learn more.

The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open by appointment only due to COVID-19. For more information, email adopt@apsofdurham.org.
