Lima Bean is sweet, kind and ready to join you for the “howlidays!” This 5-year-old girl is a friend to all humans and loves any visits from people, especially when they offer treats and affection. Lima Bean has been at the Animal Protection Society of Durham since July aand is ready to take her curious sniffer elsewhere, like your backyard, or to lick leftovers off your kitchen floor. Lima Bean prefers a gentle sniffing pet partner or someone who will just let her be her best self – she’s not into that rough and tough play. Visit Lima Bean’s webpage to learn more and surprise her by stopping by today!

The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. APS of Durham is open to the public for adoptions and animal visitations. To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to adopt@apsofdurham.org. Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter. For more information, email adopt@apsofdurham.org.
