Black as soot and sweet as candy. Soot would love to have a nice window perch to sit on while gazing at the world (and gazing at you!). She’s such a beauty, you will find yourself gazing right back at her. To visit or adopt, call 919-560-0640 ext. 9 to set up an appointment to visit Soot, and other animals available for same-day adoption.

For more information on Soot, contact adopt@apsofdurham.org. To view her webpage, visit apsofdurham.org/cats/soot. For more adoptable cats, please visit apsofdurham.org/cats

Adoption fees for cats are $95 and $50 for the second cat when adopting two together. This includes a basic medical exam, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, intestinal parasite check, a heartworm test and deworming.

Thanks to our sponsors, new owners of each adopted featured pet will receive a complimentary first wellness visit from Park Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care and a free full day of camp at Camp Bow Wow.

In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open by appointment only due to COVID-19. For more information, email adopt@apsofdurham.org.
