Sherona is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves making new friends. She would love to cuddle with you. She can be a bit anxious at times, but she’s sure to settle well into a routine. She loves treats and gentle affection and would benefit from plenty of opportunities to learn and play. Are y’all meant to be? Visit her today at the Animal Protection Society of Durham!

To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to [email protected]. To view Sherona’s webpage, visit apsofdurham.org/dogs/sherona. Same-day adoptions are now available in the shelter.

Adoption fees for dogs and puppies typically range from $100-$175. This includes a basic medical exam, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, intestinal parasite check, a heartworm test and deworming.

The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open Mon.-Tue. and Thu.-Fri., 10:30am-5pm; Wed. 10:30am-6pm; and Sat. 10am-2pm. For more information, call 919-560-0640 or visit www.apsofdurham.org.
