Engine is a 1-year-old tabby who is ready to rev her way into your heart. She was a stray cat who was taken in by various families in a local neighborhood. She and her kittens were brought into the shelter so they could find a loving home. The friendly, happy, quiet, loving and playful lady would thrive in a home with older teenagers, adults and other pets. She is being harness trained, and she sits at the door awaiting her daily outings. She currently lives in a foster home, but is ready for a virtual visit.

For more information on Engine, contact [email protected]. To view her webpage, visit For more adoptable cats, visit

Adoption fees for cats are $95 and $50 for the second cat when adopting two together. This includes a basic medical exam, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, intestinal parasite check, a heartworm test and deworming.

Thanks to our sponsors, new owners of each adopted featured pet will receive a complimentary first wellness visit from Park Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care and a free full day of camp at Camp Bow Wow.

In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open by appointment only due to COVID-19. For more information, email [email protected].
