Looking for a sweet, playful friend? Well, that’s Blaine! He’s a friendly dude, but can be timid and insecure at times. Go slow with him, and he’ll gain confidence. He really enjoys playing – toss a ball or toy for him and watch him go. He’ll chase and prance and have a blast. He would love to get to know you better!

Blaine is currently in foster care. To set up a virtual visit or to adopt, send adoption forms to To view his webpage, visit

Adoption fees for dogs and puppies typically range from $100-$175. This includes a basic medical exam, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, intestinal parasite check, a heartworm test and deworming.

Thanks to our sponsors, new owners of each adopted featured pet will receive a complimentary first wellness visit from Park Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care and a free full day of camp at Camp Bow Wow.

In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open Mon.-Tue. and Thu.-Fri., 10:30am-5pm; Wed. 10:30am-6pm; and Sat. 10am-2pm. For more information, call 919-560-0640 or visit
