Winter Wonders at American Tobacco @ American Tobacco Campus

Bring the whole family to the American Tobacco Campus this season for a host of holiday-themed activities, beginning with the annual Lucky Strike tower lighting on Dec. 2. Pick out your tree, wreaths and garland (and those cute wooden reindeer!) at the TROSA’s tree lot. Come see the Tree of Bikes before those bikes are gifted to deserving Durham children for the holidays, and vote for your favorite tree decorated by a local nonprofit or business during the Triangle Christmas Tree Challenge. (Vote through Dec. 16.)

Duke Health 5K Benefiting Positive Impact for Kids @ Southern Community Park

The Chapel Hill Police Department is partnering with Carrboro High’s 17-year-old Leanne Joyce, president and founder of Positive Impact for Kids.
Walk, run or volunteer and join us for music, food and fun!

KIDS 12 AND UNDER: Chase the Chief – a 1 mile fun run starting at 2:15 PM. With a 1 minute head start, kids race to beat Chief Blue to the finish line!

Proceeds benefit Duke Children’s and UNC Children’s Hospitals.

Donald has been visiting The Fearrington Barn to spin his tales for over 20 years and is one of the foremost storytellers in the country. He has been featured at the World’s Fair, the Smithsonian Institution, the National Storytelling Festival, and as guest host on NPR’s “Good Evening.”
In lieu of admission, donations of canned goods to Chatham Outreach Alliance and gently used children’s books to Book Harvest will be accepted. This event fills up quick so get there early!

On Wednesday, December 21st join us for breakfast with Santa from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

Reservations will be offered in the following time slots:

8am-9am

9:30am-10:30am

We will be serving a delicious breakfast buffet full of holiday delights. Don’t forget your camera because Santa will be making his rounds. You can let your little ones hop on his lap and tell him all their holiday wishes!

Cost is $16 per adult and $14 per child. Tax and gratuity will be added to all checks.

BIGG Holiday Mashup @ Carolina Theatre

Get ready for an hour and a half of pure holiday joy! This family-friendly variety show will feature storytelling, music, dance, comedy and inspiration – all hosted by Inspire MEdia Network, the Durham nonprofit that spreads kindness and educates about empathy.
The evening will feature the New Orleans-style band the Bull Town Strutters, the Durham Ukulele Orchestra, a storyteller from The Monti, the Durham Bulls’ Jatovi McDuffie, gospel singer Mary Williams, dancers from Barriskill Dance Theatre School, a cappella singers and much more!

Mitzvah Day @ Jewish Community Center
