Durham Medical Orchestra- “Harmonies” Fall Concert @ Baldwin Auditorium

The Durham Medical Orchestra presents its fall concert, “Harmonies,” featuring music from Tchaikovsky‘s “Sleeping Beauty,” Britten’s “Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra,” and more. The concert will feature collaborations with Vox Virorum Men’s Chorus, composers Steven Bryant and Alejandro Santoyo, soprano Meredith Achey, several accomplished local dancers, and guest soloist Ivy Ringel of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra.

The Senior Holiday Party is one of Durham’s largest celebrations for Mature Adults (ages 55 or better). The party-goers are diverse, but they all have one thing in common – the desire to be entertained and to enjoy the company of long-time friends over dinner in a festive atmosphere. Mature Adults from across the Triangle will enjoy an evening of fellowship and dancing at the Senior Holiday Party.

Join your Durham neighbors for the 3rd annual Woodlake Handmade Holiday Craft Show! 14 artists and bakers from South Durham will be offering their crafts for some fun, local holiday shopping! We’ll have everything from glass art to woodworking to soap to photography to jewelry and more! And be sure to check out our bakers’ wonderful goodies and grab some hot apple cider as you browse.

A percentage of all sales will be donated to the NC ALS Association in honor of Woodlake resident Kathryn Manginelli, who just lost her fight against the disease. We’ll also have a table to learn more and make additional donations if you’d like to start your holidays off feeling good by donating to a great cause.

Art Therapy Institute’s I Heart Art 2019 – Volunteer Interest Meeting @ Bean Traders

There are a number of volunteer opportunities for this event, one of which is helping with our silent auction. Flash Chorus Presents: Holiday Sing on the Roof @ The Durham Hotel

Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies Community Resource Fair @ Duke Regional Hospital

Low Fare Art Fair @ Shadowbox Studio

Oyster Garden Party | Eastcut + Ponysaurus + NC Coast @ Eastcut Sandwich Bar

Ponysaurus and the NC Coastal Federation are joining Eastcut for an Oyster, Beer, and Oyster-Adoption Party! The event will be held in Eastcut’s heated Garden, located behind their main building.

Shucking up fresh oysters to order – 2pm until we run out. The Nash Street Ramblers will be providing some sweet tunes from 4-7pm.

NC Coastal Federation will be fundraising onsite – you can actually adopt oysters and follow their growth on the NC Coast!

$1 from every pint of Ponysaurus Oyster Saison will go to NC Coastal Federation.
