“Truth to Power” is an annual juried show focusing on matters of social justice. This year we are pleased to announce that Sarah Schroth, Director of Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, is the juror for this exhibit. The title, derived from a 1955 Quaker pamphlet, “Speak Truth to Power” illustrates a commitment to voicing our diverse truths to the systems and individuals shaping the society in which we live. The exhibit is intentionally broad in scope so that each artist may address issues of personal, local, national and/or international importance. The exhibit features North Carolina artists working in 2D and 3D media. This exhibit runs August 9 – September 9. Join us for our Third Friday Reception and Artists Talk August 17, 6-9 p.m.
