The Vote: Reimagining What It Could Be (Virtual Conference)
In addition to marking the 2020 election, this virtual symposium on voting will provide an opportunity for the intellectual community to think seriously about citizenship and to look to the future with the goal of renewing democracy and making it more equitable. As the nation grapples with challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and structural racism in the United States, it’s important to aspire to universal voter participation and think carefully about ways to bring marginalized voices into the political landscape.
The symposium will feature a diverse range of voices including scholars, activists, community members and others who will help achieve universal voter participation and learn what it will take to enhance popular trust in democracy over the long term.
You may attend all or part of this two day special series.
Sessions run between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day.
This series is funded through the generous support of Diana and Todd Stiefel.
