The 16th Annual (Virtual) Beaver Queen Pageant – Intro Episode

The Beaver Queen Pageant is the Triangle’s own special mix of folly, pageantry and humor. Contestants take on beaver personalities and compete for the title of Beaver Queen with their fashion, talent and personality. For the first time in beaver herstory, the pageant will be completely virtual this year. Because nothing will stop us from celebrating our inner beavers and our local wetlands! This year’s pageant will be rolled out in four episodes: an intro episode on May 30, a talent episode on June 6, a Q&A episode on June 7 and a final CORONAtion episode on June 13. All episodes will premiere at 6 p.m. on the Beaver Queen Pageant website and will also be available to view on Facebook, IGTV and YouTube. This truly weird and delightful Durham experience is a fundraiser for the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association. Vote for your favorite contestants – or bribe a judge – at www.beaverqueen.org.
