Hip Hop IS Higher Ed Symposium

A conference style event filled with breakout sessions, panels, keynotes, cultural enrichment, a celebration of music and artistry, etc. that amplifies the connection hip hop shares with education and the people/community.

We offer sessions that provide examples of how community (activists/artists/entrepreneurs, hip hop artists, DJs & producers, etc.) and “the academy” (utilize hip hop to engage in teaching & learning and community empowerment. We also amplify a narrative that hip hop (as a culture) provides communities and more specifically urban youth, with self-empowerment, and rich knowledge.
