Gilbert & Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance (Presented by the Durham Savoyards, Ltd.)
Frederic spent his youth as a pirate because his former nanny Ruth misheard the word pilot. Now twenty-one, he can finally quit. But it’s complicated. Ruth loves him and so does young Mabel, who wants to help him lead an honest life. Meanwhile, the zany Pirate King reveals a loophole that may keep Frederick a pirate for years. Enjoy the comic hijinks of tenderhearted pirates, Monty Python-style police, and the Major General’s famous patter song.
