ABOUT NC HIP FESTIVAL:

Escape into the dynamic soundscape of the North Carolina HIP Music Festival. The Mallarmé Chamber Players hosts the HIP (Historically Informed Performance) Festival to showcase Renaissance, Baroque and Classical era music performed on period instruments with historical performance practices. 

While shows including Bridgerton and The Great have inspired an interest in music from the past, festival attendees can hear historic music faithfully brought to life by early musician experts from North Carolina and beyond. HIP Festival will showcase over 60 local musicians from eight different organizations in 17 events. 

The festival will run from February 4 through March 5, 2023, at various venues in Chapel Hill, Durham, Cary and Raleigh. A full schedule of events are listed at hipmusicfestival.org.
