Whether you’ve lived in the Durham-Chapel Hill area all your life, or you’re just settling in, we want to meet you! Join the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties and help us make a lasting change in our community.

Come mix & mingle with us at our Prospective Member Wine & Cheese Social on Wednesday, Jan. 11 to learn what we’re all about! The social will begin at 6:30pm and the information session will begin at 7pm.

NC Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier presents “Dames in the Kitchen” @ The Root Cellar

The North Carolina Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier proudly announces the first of many fundraisers. “Dames in the Kitchen,” hosted Thursday, April 6th, is a collaborative effort by its members and will offer a culinary tour through North Carolina, as prepared by eight Dame cookbook authors and chefs. Guests will also enjoy raffle prizes and live bluegrass by Dame Susi Gott & the Kitchen Dudes.

“Dames in the Kitchen” will benefit the Interfaith Food Shuttle – a statewide organization which addresses food insecurity – and will take place at The Root Cellar, from 6:30 to 9pm, owned by Charter Member Sera Cuni. The Root Cellar is located at 750 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, in Chapel Hill. Tickets can be purchased for $65 ($30 tax deductible) at

Dame Susi Gott, who has assembled the evenings’ live music, explained that “food and music in Appalachia have always been intertwined.” Gott is also the author of Appalachian Appetite – a groundbreaking new cookbook featuring over 100 recipes that represent an innovative take on tradition, with contributions and stories from many of the mountain region’s best chefs, restaurants, and citizens. Susi Gott & the Kitchen Dudes is a musical ensemble comprised of the author, two Ashevillians, and two Chapel Hillians, united especially for this introduction to the North Carolina Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier.

Angel Readings & Gourmet Dinner Event @ University Club

Join internationally acclaimed Angel medium Kim McAllister of Rainbow Wings Consulting for a special ”Angel Readings & Gourmet Dinner” event on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 6-9PM. Limited to ten adults (21+), this exclusive gourmet dinner event will take place at the acclaimed University Club, located at the sumptuous 17th floor penthouse of University Tower in Durham (3100 Tower Boulevard, Suite 1700, Durham, NC 27707), near Chapel Hill, with convenient access to I-40 and 15-501.

In addition to a delicious three course gourmet meal served in a tastefully arranged private room with luxurious furnishings and soaring views, each participant present will receive a one-on-one reading with internationally renowned and professionally certified Angel medium, Kim McAllister of Rainbow Wings Consulting. During the readings part of the event, Kim connects to Guardian Angels to translate any messages they may share, either intuitively or with Angel Cards or both. Participants will also witness firsthand this happening with the other guests present and any messages received often contain messages for other participants, too.

Dress code is biz casual. $99.00 special event price includes an Angel Reading and a Gourmet 3-course Dinner with tea or coffee, dessert, tips and taxes included.
