Starting on Sunday, January 8, 2017, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Durham and Orange counties, located at 5501 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd., will now be open seven days a week. With new hours of operation on Sundays from 11am-4pm, the ReStore offers an additional day to shop, donate, and volunteer. The ReStore will also continue to be open during its “regular” hours of Mondays-Saturday from 10am-6pm.
“The demand for affordable housing in Durham and Orange counties is increasing by the day,” explains the ReStore General Manager, Chrissy Sailstad. “Another day open, means another day that we are raising money to meet this need and build more Habitat homes.”
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. All proceeds from the ReStore help support Habitat for Humanity of Durham and Orange counties’ mission of creating sustainable homeownership opportunities for deserving families.
