This beautiful Calico lives life to the fullest! She really enjoys playing with toys – as many as she can – and is very curious. She is also sweet and loving, enjoys rubs and will curl up on your lap.

For the month of June, APS is offering a pick-your-price on the adoption fee for all cats, kittens, guinea pigs and rabbits for the entire month of June. That’s right: Just tell them what you are willing to pay. Adoption fees for cats and kittens are normally $95. That fee includes a basic wellness exam, spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation, rabies and other vaccinations, and start off with one month of free pet insurance. The adoption fee for a second cat is just $50 when adopting two together.

Thanks to our sponsors, new owners of each adopted featured pet will receive a complimentary first wellness visit from Park Vet Hospital and a free full day of camp at Camp Bow Wow.

The Animal Protection Society of Durham, located at 2117 E. Club Blvd., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been helping animals in the community since 1970, and has managed the Durham County Animal Shelter since 1990. In addition to county funding, APS relies on donations from individuals and corporations to feed, shelter and provide medical attention for the nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals it cares for each year. The shelter is open Mon.-Tue. and Thu.-Fri., 10:30am-5pm; Wed. 10:30am-6pm; and Sat. 10am-2pm. For more information, call 919-560-0640 or visit www.apsofdurham.org.
