hunky-doryJust a dog and his records … we couldn’t help snapping a pic of this adorable scene at Hunky Dory when we stopped in to browse over the weekend.

onlyburgerOur usual pre-DPAC ritual includes a stop by OnlyBurger. This time we went with a turkey burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, pepperjack cheese and guacamole, paired with an Appalachian Mountain Brewery IPA.

the-grinch“Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas, The Musical” was  funny, heartwarming, nostalgic … definitely a must-see at DPAC this holiday season! Additionally, the show will have a special sensory-friendly performance on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m., which will be presented in a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum and their families.

trosaSpread some holiday cheer this season by purchasing your tree (and adorable reindeer decor) at one of the TROSA lots around the city. Proceeds help substance abusers become healthy, productive members of their communities and families, and they’ll even trim, bag and load up your tree for you.

20161116_131452_resized_1We’re so – ahem – happy to have Happy & Hale in Durham now, but love that we can also get a City of Oats smoothie delivered when you’re at Internet Summit at the Raleigh Convention Center, too!

ale-8Assistant Editor Laura Kirk is so excited for Ale-8 – her childhood soft drink of choice – to come to the Triangle (which it is, very soon!). No more Ale-8 hauls from Kentucky for her!
